* Look through the eyepiece and gently turn the calibration screw with the included screwdriver until the reading displays "0."

* After cleaning the prism with a soft cloth, apply 2-3 drops of the liquid sample you wish to test onto the prism. Close the cover plate, ensuring the liquid spreads evenly without bubbles or dry areas. Wait 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize, align the prism with the light source for optimal visibility, and read your measurement through the eyepiece.

* To maintain accuracy and extend the lifespan of your refractometer, keep it dry and store it in its protective case.
